Please join naturalists Rachel Castor and Holly Roger for our free nature program:

Walk When the Moon Is Full. Inspired by the book of the same title by renowned naturalist Frances Hamerstrom and the 13 Moon Series by Jean Craighead George, this experiential program  focuses on a local plant or animal by moonlight. Discover the hidden nocturnal world of Whatcom County with us! Each month we will delve into the night, exploring local parks and honing our naturalist skills.

This program is free, but group size is limited so registration is required.

Register via email (wildwhatcomwalks@gmail.com) or call Rachel at 392-8992.

Directions: Tennant Lake Interpretive Center is adjacent to Hovander Park.  Take Ferndale Exit 262 off I-5.  Go west on Main Street 1/2 mile, turn left onto Hovander Road at the railroad underpass, then right on Nielsen Ave.  Follow signs to Tennant Lake Interpretive Center (at the end of Nielsen Ave.).

We hope to see you in the moonlight!  Please help us spread the word.
